Sports. The fall of a hero: I'm pretty sure you saw it, even if you don't follow soccer. Zidane's head-butt was all over the news, not to mention YouTube. Personally I was shocked that a player of his stature and style would commit such as fowl. I heard the incident explained to a person that doesn't follow soccer as "It was equivalent to Michael Jordan, on his last and final basketball game ever, hitting another player during over time in the final game of the NBA Finals." I've been itching to find out what Materazzi said to get Zidane to lash out that way and I'm amazed that it's not all over the Internet by now, I guess the French players are trying to keep it on the low. But so far I've heard 2 stories. One being the obvious "something about his mother" and the other along the lines of calling him a terrorist in regard to his heritage. Either way he deserved what he got but its a sad way to see such a great player go out in such a way.
